The Late Show - One4Review

There are a number of late-night shows jostling for the attention of the after hours punter who’s looking for a comedy show that skirts around the edges of acceptability.  This is exactly the sort of entertainment that the Late Show serves up. I attended the Saturday night show which promised the line up of Adam Bloom, Reginald D Hunter, Steve Day and Carey Marx.  All the performers seemed up for providing a good time and this rubbed off on an enthusiastic audience.  Each comedian acquitted himself well and will no doubt have persuaded many to catch their individual shows. However, the star of the night for me was MC Jarred Christmas, who has very possibly shot to the top of my Fringe favourites.  His patter between the acts was absolutely hilarious and seemed completely natural.  He worked the audience extremely well, creating an energy which was sustained for the duration of the show. For weekend, post-pub entertainment, The Late Show boasts quality line-ups in an intimate venue.  I’d recommend you grab a ticket as soon as you can. *****
