Ali McGregor’s  Late-Night Variety-Nite Night 
This is aptly titled as a late night variety night hosted by Ali McGregor, an Australian trained opera star who has crossed over to more main stream entertainment and is presenting a show each evening showcasing both her undoubted vocal talents together with a selection of acts performing at the Fringe this year. Music, stand-up and burlesque are just some of the genres covered nightly. Ali is supported by her ‘butler’ Saxon McAlister through out the hour, and the maligned manservant also does his own bit to pep up the show. Resplendent in her top hat Ms McGregor lounges on her chez-longe and as well as introducing the acts sings several songs herself accompanied by omnichord, and even a stylofone. You haven’t lived until you see an opera star sing AC/DC performed on an omnichord !! The guests on the bill I saw were the very talented Sammy J, Martin White, comedian Rob Rouse, and burlesque star, Anna the Pocket Rocket. As a different way to wind down the Fringe day why not check this out. The guest acts change nightly as well so there is always plenty of variety too.   ***
