Regret Me Not - One4Review

Andrea Donovan plays an unrelated set of characters of different ages and backgrounds. Several work successfully as she nails the punch lines. Others didn’t work as well as the punch lines at times misfired. Her strongest character was the Life Class Instructor, Kathy Whelan, who encourages her students to follow their dreams. This character forms her opening and closing routines. The other character that works well with its dark humour is the upper class schoolgirl airhead exploring a boarded up house. Perhaps fewer characters, the Brummie housewife could go, and concentration on those that could be developed and deepened would produce a more consistent show. Yoni, for example, who is into ballet and yoga, could provide scope for further comic potential. A show with peaks and troughs. **
