Glenn Wool – Wool's Gold 5***** - One4Review

Glenn Wool – Wool’s Gold 5*****

| On 17, Aug 2014

Glenn Wool has been around for a long time, unfortunately not always in Edinburgh party due to lured to Hollywood for fame and fortune which didn’t quite work out. Their loss, our gain.

Wool is a been there, seen it all, and done most of it kinda guy and his look together with his husky voiced languid style of delivery is perfect for this compilation show of his favourite gags and stories over the years. The show is very well structured yet loose enough at the same time, his use of language ideal and as for his charisma that engulf the audience from the get go allow him to do edgy humour on religion, drugs, relationships and rape but without causing too much offense along the way.

The show opens with a film montage that just has to be witnessed and the material linked by a story of a woman taking offense at a gig in Alaska holds together his favourite stories.

It is fair to say that maybe Wool is not a comedian for everyone, if you like him you really like him, but why not try this ‘greatest hits’ compilation, it sure is value for money.
