Lucy Porter – Me Time 5***** - One4Review

Has it really been more than a decade since this little bundle of happiness first graced the Fringe? Apparently as she informs the packed to the gunwales crowd that it is her tenth show and I am sure there was at least one year she was excused on maternity grounds.
Several things are constant in her performances not least of which are that it will be a well written and funny show, it will be delivered in the Lucy style of being a nice comic, albeit with a bit of devil in her, and that tickets will be hard to get due to her popularity.
That said she does have a lot to say, referendum, family life, Woman’s Hour, politics, her wedding, coconut and how she helped Anglo Russian relations in the 90’s are a few of her topics she spoke about as the rounded hour was played to the full.
The clock always seems to be on double speed at her gigs I’ve found and all too soon she was finishing and I know I was not the only one who wanted more.
