The delightful comedian and mean guitar player Rob Deering has been staging this late night comedy music quiz for a number of years now and it is always a great draw and this was very much in evidence this year too.

The concept is simple, two teams of comedians pit their musical knowledge over a number of rounds while Deering plays the music to guess live on stage, sometimes his own suggestions some from the audience and the tally kept by an independent scorer.

The show line-up changes for every performance, the one I saw had Wendy Wason and Danielle Ward facing previously unbeaten Tom Toal and Danny McLoughlin and it was a closely fought contest. It was funny to see how competitive they all got, in fact the whole hour was a hoot as always,

Deering is an amiable host, encouraging the audience get involved with the action although few require encouragement and the time just evaporated.

So if you are into music comedy and quizzes this is definitely the show for you.
