Elliot Steel – Netflix ‘n’ Steel 4**** - One4Review

Elliot Steel – Netflix ‘n’ Steel 4****

| On 18, Aug 2016

Elliot Steel is a young comedian, he is barely out of his teens, but his reputation is growing and having witnessed his show it is easy to see why.
He has been doing stand up for a little over three years and questions what to do a show about since favourite topics like heart break, mental health issues, dead dad and so on do not apply to him. He hasn’t years of life experience either.
A problem? Not really as he crafts his set on the things he has done, growing up in Croydon, his mates, clubbing, getting drunk all the typical things a lad of his age does but Steel relates anecdotes with the skill of a veteran and his sell-out audience quickly warm to him, not hard in the sauna like venue he has.
But it is not all shallow stuff. For someone who hated being labelled the voice of his generation, he talks, voting, touches on feminism, being part of the millennium generation and its issues and political correctness, all topics handled with his style and as with the entire set it is extremely well thought out and delivered with confidence. And it is packed with laughs throughout.
Steel is a breath of fresh air who must be assured of a long and successful comedy career just like his dad.
