Puddles Pity Party: Lets Go 4****

| On 17, Aug 2016

Puddles, the 6 foot 8” singing clown, returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with his Pity Party and the crowd just love him. The popularity of the show is a mystery to some but you really have to experience it for yourself to fully understand the attraction.
The sad clown, who has the most amazing, captivating voice, sings covers of a number of songs, old and new from Queen, Coldplay, Adele, David Bowie to 21 Pilots, Eric Carmen, plus many more. There is a large projector screen behind him showing footage of puddles with his many fans, old movies, messages from stars all in sync with the music and adding to the comedy of the show.
His huge frame galumphs through the audience picking people at random to join him on stage, it doesn’t matter where you sit, those pleading eyes will get you even in the back row. Whether he wants you to drink coffee with him, eat miniature cakes or sing Karaoke, his aim is always to have fun and never ridicule.
The show is over before you know it and Puddles waves off his guests outside, posing for photographs with them. This is a lovely feel good show which is selling out regularly, well worth going to see.
