Seann Walsh – One For the Road 5*****
Having been away from Edinburgh for a couple of years Seann Walsh makes a welcome return with his 2016 show ‘One for the Road’.
Though suffering from the dreaded lurgy Fringe flu Walsh was on top form and his sell-out audience were treated to an hour of excellent material beautifully crafted and delivered, give or take a croak or two.
Walsh has grown up well he is almost thirty and getting to that great age he is trying to cut down on everything alcohol fags, sugar and bread all the good things he loves and his ‘promotion’ to middle class causes issues with his friends old and new.
Juicing, sparkling water, picnics, eating out issues box sets, not forgetting his total addiction to checking his phone all come under Walsh’s scrutiny where he draws peals of laughter at the observational stuff he delivers, in fact laughter is never more than seconds away throughout his performance.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable hour spent with a top comic. If he was as good he was when feeling ill, heaven only knows the standard when he is fit and well again.
As the show is always selling out you better be quick to grab your ticket.
