Downstairs in the EICC is the perfect venue for this wonderful show. As expected, Cirque Berserk has acrobatics, contortionists, jugglers, clowns and dancers. It is thrilling and at times heart stopping. A lot is packed into the hour-long show. My ten-year-old and I were hiding behind our hands at times, especially during some of the more daring trapeze acts. There wasn’t a single performer who wasn’t wonderful, and the show moves on at a great pace. Two clowns break up some of the performances with slapstick comedy but don’t worry – they aren’t dressed as typical clowns and are very funny. The finale of the show has five madcap motorcyclists somehow managing to dodge each other whilst flying around the inside of a dome – we could hardly watch! This was the first circus show I’d taken my daughter to, and she was talking about it for days afterwards.

The EICC is a big venue and I’d recommend arriving early to get a seat near the front. There are screens that project the show for those with seats near the back. Seat cushions are available for little ones which is a nice touch.

Overall, a wonderful show for everyone – a must see.
