Lauren Pattison – Lady Muck 4**** - One4Review

Lauren Pattison – Lady Muck 4****

| On 20, Aug 2017

There is definitely a new kid on the Edinburgh block and that is Lauren Pattison, who has been getting sold out shows and critical acclaim in almost equal measures. Not too shabby for her debut hour!
The lights dim and the audience are treated to an almost shy hello as Lauren enters, No razzamatazz with this diminutive Geordie just plain good material that is both well written and excellently delivered as we are led through a journey over the last 20 months since she left Tyneside for the big smoke of London.
During this time she has moved into a ‘shoe box’, had a dreaded job in retail and been ghosted by her long term boyfriend leaving her alone and heartbroken, yet still determined to follow her dream in spite of the odds.
Ms Pattison deals with the journey with a maturity that belies her youth, the occasionally bitter sweet stories cheek by jowl with the delightfully positive stuff, all liberally dosed with laughs. This marks her down for bigger and better things for certain and this show is a great way to spend an hour… if you can get a ticket that is.
