Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story, 5 stars ***** - One4Review

Thrill Me is based on the true story of two would-be law students in the 1920s and their crime sprees which inevitably lead to murder, both as a way to satisfy a need as well as to create the ‘perfect’ crime. One is fascinated by Nietzsche and believes himself to be above the law; the other becomes his willing accomplice in return for sexual favours. Just how far would they both go to quench their desires?
Told in a series of flashbacks, the two actors are truly excellent and their characters engaging. Every single word is clear and heard in the packed venue. The drama gets intense and atmospheric with very well designed lighting, sound effects and direction.
The music is also excellent, accompaniment coming from a sole piano with the singing powerful and passionate. A highlight of the Fringe and highly recommended.
