Tabarnak:- Cirque Alfonse 5*****

| On 05, Aug 2018

Breathtaking, exciting, exhilirating, playful and intense, TABARNAK is an experience not to be missed.
Following their Fringe 2015 sell-out show, BARBU, Canadian stars Cirque Alfonse have returned to Edinburgh with the UK premiere of their latest contemporary circus cabaret show. The passion and energy of the cast is infectious as the performance takes you through a spectacular extravaganza of stunts involving roller skating, somersaults, whips and astonishing balancing acts accompanied by a live original soundtrack that perfectly complements the theatrics on display.
The troupe hail from Quebec, where tabernak is both a religious term and a profanity, which makes it a befitting title for this show that is based on heritage and tradition and delivered through riproaring ultramodern circus cabaret.
Cirque Alfonse deliver a stunning display of strength and acrobatic feats that do not fail to entertain, delight and amaze the audience which the performers were rewarded with a well deserved standing ovation from the audience.
A show that is entertaining for adults and children alike, my 6 year old daughter would give this show 100 stars out of 100, if only that was allowed.
