Local lad Gareth Waugh is following on from his last two critically acclaimed shows with the 2019 offering, and once again moving to a bigger room, yet still selling it out. That says plenty about the guy and his popularity.
Waugh is an amiable chap, like a few he usually ends up being the butt of his own stories, but his material is always of a very high standard and has a persona that one can’t help to like.
Newly moved out into his own place, self-confessed Masterchef armchair expert talks about fending for himself, the failings of his kitchen, ways around eating on his own while travelling, growing up in the 90’s, his adventures while becoming a blood donor for the first time and the fact that he is a psychic, because someone once told him he was.
Gareth fleshes out these stories with well observed and written material, drawing laugher from all situations, accidently outing people, ghost hunts and séances together with statistics about, well let’s just call it adult cuddles, had everyone in stitches.
Waugh is definitely going places. He has become a firm Fringe favourite so his tickets are prized. Get down to the box office at the first opportunity.
