Hotel Paradiso 4**** - One4Review

Hotel Paradiso 4****

| On 18, Aug 2019

Hotel Paradiso, from the Lost In Translation circus company, is set in a run-down hotel owned by Madame and run by her trusted employees including Serge the Concierge. This is more than just your average circus show, yes you get everything you would expect from a circus, clowning, slapstick, juggling, trapeze but there is also a story running throughout the show. Two guests arrive at the hotel but are not all they seem; they give the hotel 24hrs to turn their financial situation around or a bankruptcy notice will be served.
We then get fantastic displays from all the performers, who are all highly proficient circus artistes. Intertwined into the story line as they try to save the hotel. The physical comedy is exceptional and the individual skills fabulous, we have acrobatics which include a very entertaining fight scene. There’s amazing use of the stage props including aerial acrobatics from the chandelier and a fascinating and amusing routine involving hula hoops and a bottle of champagne. Of course, we have lots of humour and clowning too from the hapless employees.
This is a fun and entertaining show for the whole family from children to grandparents, there’s something for everyone.
