Jo Caulfield: Voodoo Doll 5**** - One4Review

Jo Caulfield: Voodoo Doll 5****

| On 05, Aug 2019

There are a number of Edinburgh Fringe constants, bad weather, lack of sleep, poor diet and too much alcohol… and Jo Caulfield turning out yet another top quality hour of comedy.
Jo Caulfield has been seen on TV many, many times but to me she is at her absolute ascorbic best when she is playing to a live crowd. And boy is she on form with this offering.
I suppose her audience is a little more mature than some but they hang on her every word, roar with laughter throughout as she delivers the as always delightfully written performance as only she can.
He material ranges from living in Leith now, her LA holiday, unsolicited advice, small talk, snobby ghosts, Holly Willoughby and of course her husband, who is always the subject of much discussion, and his habits and pals. All of these give her ample scope to vent her feelings and the audience lapped it up.
Ms Caulfield has always been a quality performer in my opinion and judging by the large numbers attending on a damp Sunday night it is not just me who thinks such. If you have seem her before you’ll know, if not get there soon and find out for yourself.
