Tom Toal in Mediocre Boy 4**** - One4Review

Tom Toal is a name that has been gracing the Fringe for a while now and it is good to see him back and entertaining one and all in his all new show.
For a guy who is suffering from writers block, Toal has put together an excellent show, telling stories about his life, heavily featuring his young daughter in the narrative. This could have come across as a bit trite but not in this case Tom handles it just right even the young child in the front row seemed to be having fun.
He comes across as an all around nice guy both on and off stage, and importantly, he s funny bloke too
He talks about worrying too much, about money, his show, what will happen when he isn’t cool enough for his daughter, losing stuff, casting calls, his parents… the list goes on.
We have the power to assist with a couple of his worries. Firstly he has no need to worry about his show, it’s very good, he is anything but mediocre and of course if you buy a ticket then that will assist in the money stakes.
