Paul McCaffrey - We go again 4**** - One4Review

I asked a couple of people sat beside me why they had bought tickets to see Paul McCaffrey at the Fringe. One had a seen him at a gig down south and really enjoyed him, the others were here on a recommendation from Rob Beckett!! High praise indeed, so I settled into The Belly Laugh and the Underbelly, looking forward to an hour of comedy. It’s a tricky venue to find by the way!
Paul’s style is very observational and he draws on many of his own real life experiences which is very endearing, he comes across as a very likeable guy, but he really wants to live the Rock n Roll lifestyle and he shares how he has achieved this to a point, brilliantly.
We even get to see video evidence of his endeavours and he’s clearly a huge music fan.
Like so many of the shows this year, Paul tells us about his lockdown, which has had a massive impact on live entertainment and made us actually meet our neighbours!
This is a very entertaining set and had me laughing out loud. I may never visit Wagamamas again however without having a wry smile to myself!
