Gavin Webster has been a perennial Fringe favourite since… forever it seems and can always been relied upon to turn out an hour of laugh filled, comedy presented as only he can.
There is no pretentions with Webster, he has been described as a ‘proper comedian’ by more than a few people I have talked to and they are right in my opinion.
And talking of opinions, Gavin has plenty to share, and his audience are with him from the get-go. So, an hour of comedy that flows, laughs a plenty. What could go wrong?
Well, Webster has his flow interrupted by co-called intellectuals, do-gooders and even A.I. trying to keep him in line, he calls it the VAR of comedy with the football version, of breaking up the action but it is a device that is used sparingly.
Webster has a lot to say, his material is hilarious, his delivery flawless and he doesn’t miss his targets. He is a no-nonsense funny guy, and in reality, what more does one want. He even finished on a Dylanesque song.
His hour evaporated all too quickly for all of us.
