Robin Grainger – An Audient with Robin Grainger 4.5 **** - One4Review

It was a year ago that Robin Grainger, had his first show of Fringe 2022 and played to an audient of one customer. This show went down so well with Mike. The attendee loved it so much. A renowned Fringe reviewer picked up on the event and suddenly the whole thing went viral, and tickets were flying out the door.
Of course this is me summarising. Edinburgh based comic, relates the tale to a near sell-out crowd, and does it so much better drawing laughs from the off as this tale is intertwined with a number of events both historical and more recent that together make a well-rounded and entertaining hour.
Grainger has an easy delivery, his anecdotes are delightfully written and delivered, often being very self-deprecating along the way and with the mixture of plenty of fun together with some pathos kept the audience enthralled for the duration.
This is an excellent way to spend an hour. The rapturous applause he deservedly received at the end would testify to the fact.
Only one issue I can foresee. This was a gift of a subject to write about and he did it so well. I think it is plainly evident that he will never have an audient again, as I would expect more and more sold-out signs in the future. Still, he is more than man enough to rise to that challenge.
