Goose’s Quizzes have been strutting about Edinburgh since 2011 hosting evenings of trivia. They even did their bit on-line during the pandemic and now they are here for the Fringe, bursting with energy, for Goose’s Quizzes Elimination Game. 

Quiz Master Goose was a reet’ proper ringleader, possessing fine skills of herding an audience through an interactive quiz on film, music, gossip, sport and general knowledge whilst crowing worthy winners at each round. 

No sooner had I sat down, I was up standing and ready to move into the ever-hopeful correct colour for my chance to win genuine prizes and drinks vouchers! Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to win a prize, but that did not detract from the anticipation I felt when the last person standing, and whose job it was to answer the final question of the evening; I watched in the hope that they win the whole room a drink at the bar. At the same time, a fellow audience member showed me their activity tracking watch as it was alerting them to relax and take a break!  

This show is incredibly engaging, funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously. If you’re a local like me, who’s been slogging it at work all day and has zero energy this would be great for you. Or, if you’re about town, on a date or with your possie or colleagues I would recommend Goose’s Quiz Elimination Game as an aperitif to pave your way into a night of Fringe adventure.
