Sian opens the show by introducing us to her boyfriend, in other words her pole that’s centre stage and which she’s about to perform her comedy show upon.
He’s incredibly supportive, fortunately, tall and sturdy. Sian explains that in order to be able to write off the cost of her pole as business expense he has to be part of the act!
She’s amazingly adept at climbing and spinning whilst performing several impressions as well as her comedy routine.
There’s a fair range of topics covered from her her time at “Pole Camp”, friendship, astrology, death and dread! She has some nice audience participation and our 2 willing volunteers help out by cleaning her equipment, while she changes into a pair of thigh length, white, leather high heeled boots.
Her comedy style is quite dark at times with a touch of melancholy, as well as some soul searching.
She may be a little controversial at times and performing pole dancing at a funeral may not be for everyone. It’s an interesting and quite unique show, certainly one I won’t forget.
