The Listies “Make Some Noise,” is a frenzied whirlwind of comedy, music, and sheer creativity. Decked out in their gleaming light suits, Matt and Rich immediately set the stage for a show of unabated fun. As they unveil their so-called “high-tech” wind machine, it’s clear we’re in for a show filled with fart jokes and giggles. The infectious “Are you 110% ready?” kicks off the show, leading us into a riveting exploration of sound, featuring every amusing twist and turn you could imagine.

From the get-go, the duo’s synergy is fantastic. Rich’s adventurous escapades with his bass guitar, narrowly saved by a strap, contrasts hilariously with Matt’s lighter comedic ventures – who knew a banana could be so entertaining? Their unique spin on music history, touching on icons from the Spice Girls to Taylor Swift, is both educational and side-splittingly funny. But, it’s their incorporation of the audience that truly stands out. Finding out about the audience’s musical talents ends in hilarious results.

Some of the jokes felt a bit repetitive in parts but the children were lapping up the zany nature of it all. I wasn’t sure the tube man bit came across as they just aren’t really a thing in the UK and so that didn’t land as well and may need updating for a UK audience.

One of the show’s highlights features Matt donning a puppet body to play a comical iPad-obsessed baby. The Listies’ ability to appeal to both young audiences and their adults, making it an outing perfect for families is what makes this show so fun. And as the show culminates in an audience-involved song, one thing becomes crystal clear: Make Some Noise isn’t merely a title; it’s an invitation. Join the Listies in this joyful frenzy of an afternoon show; you won’t regret it.
