Abi Clarke was a normal day to day person who one day posted a wacky video with her mum and dad (Shown during the performance), and she became an overnight sensation. Now, off the back of her popularity, she stars in her own comedy show, Role Model.

Abi starts the show and has to explain why there is a red stool on the stage, stating that every time she touches it, she is about to say something that some people may find offensive! This turns out to be the case as she proceeds to elaborate on the things in her life that either annoy her or she simply just detests. She gets a bizarre gift from a friend but there’s more to the gift than meets the eye, a bed sheet that has some interesting characters on it with some room for more! Abi then gives her thoughts on models, the Twilight movie and a hilarious opinion of sex education which had the audience in tears.

The show continues at a steady pace, and she alludes to an incident of mistaken identity when she was mistakenly accused of dating a celebrity and the online abuse she received for it, but after a closer look at the abusive Emails, the identity of the abuser is revealed and it’s hilariously not quite as serious as it seems.

A wonderful and entertaining performance with many laughs throughout, Role model is not so much about being the perfect citizen, it’s about being who you are and expressing your opinion.
