Josephine Lacey : Autism Mama 4**** - One4Review

So the show can be described as educational and there are balloons but this is no children’s show. I repeat; this show is not for children.
This is a funny show in part but it is more of a Ted Talk on the subject of steering your severely autistic son through puberty and all that comes with it. Like the actual mechanics of it. If you get my drift.
Josephine is a talented communicator and she does not pull any punches in describing, in every messy detail, her experiences and the struggles she has faced with her son, Callum.
We learn that Josephine is a single mum of three. A South London native of Jamaican-Irish heritage.
Josephine made her stand up debut back in 2008 and made her Fringe debut in 2010. In 2023 was Chortle’s One to Watch.
Whilst the show is entertaining and even enthralling, it is a little one dimensional. It leaves you wanting to hear more from Josephine on other topics, her observations on life. She is a naturally funny story teller. And clearly a great mum.
