Briony Price, a New York City-based performer, composer, and recording artist, has seen her music grace prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Google Arts and Culture, and HBO. She’s also a quarter-finalist for the 2025 Grammy Awards—a testament to her undeniable talent.
The cosy setting in the basement of Saint Stephen’s Theatre is an ideal venue for an intimate cabaret show. However, the small audience turnout made the evening perhaps a bit more intimate than anticipated. Despite this, Briony maintained her professionalism and warmly engaged with those in attendance throughout the performance.
Through captivating storytelling and mesmerising musical performances, Briony shares her experiences of living and working in New York. The opening song, “What More Do I Need,” immediately transports the audience to the heart of the city, vividly capturing its essence through her evocative lyrics. “Night Bird,” another beautifully crafted piece, conveys the quiet magic of wandering New York’s streets during her evening walks. Her stories delve into past relationships and the challenges of revealing her true self, with some moments that are both humorous and relatable.
Briony’s vocal prowess is undeniable—she is a gifted Musical Theatre artist with an extraordinary voice. If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the Fringe in George Square, I recommend heading to Saint Stephen’s Theatre in Stockbridge. There, you can relax and enjoy an evening of Briony’s incredible songs and stories.
