The Greatest Magic Show – 5*****

| On 02, Aug 2024

The Greatest Magic Show is a gift for children. Clearly made with young audiences in mind, it has a mix of joy, laughter, and magic that makes for an unforgettable show for little ones as they scream “Stinky Butt Babies” on their journey home. Before the show even begins, their very own magic wand is handed to them, a source of great excitement.

Complete with a top hat and a comical moustache, The Ringmaster strides onto the stage in spectacular fashion. He has a lot of charisma with the audience. The gauntlet is thrown down to see if we’ve brought our “big voices,” and an exciting atmosphere ensues, with the aisles shouting and clapping throughout.

The show is not only a whirlwind of magical joy and laughter, but it also includes a catchy musical number with lots of audience involvement. There are magic tricks that keep the children on the edge of their seats. We are quickly introduced to our two head magicians, Sam and Justin, who spend the next hour working tirelessly to keep the energy high and the laughs and awe higher.

The show has elements that are just right for children of every age group; they are in stitches and shrieking with laughter, whether it’s underpants or wands (both of which seem to only get bigger), and the craziness is well designed to keep the little ones amused.

Some may say that the end is somewhat cliché; however, I think that we must never forget the innocence in children and the desire to believe. This, coupled with music to tug at heart strings and a moment that leaves the audience paused in wonder, I can’t help but enjoy the cliche!

As the show ends, children bounce out, grinning and waving their wands (and goody bags sold just outside), ready to make some magic at home. A must-see for families looking to give their children a little bit of awe and a lot of giggles.
