Marcus Brigstocke presents Unavailable for Comment 4 Star **** - One4Review

Marcus Brigstocke is always a well prepared comic, with a tight well researched set, so for me to see him present unavailable for comment, an improv show based on real and audience suggested headlines is somewhat of a departure to what I know about him.
Brigstocke is joined on the day I saw him anyway, by Charlotte Gittings, Justin Edwards, Lee Simpson, Steve Steen and Richard Vranch and the sextet use all their skills and comedic ability to play a series of the usual improve ‘games’ along the way.
It is a testament to the show that it worked well and the obscure headlines provided definite challenges to the group.
It is obviously never going to be the same show. The headlines will vary, the audience suggestions likewise and maybe the guests too. It sure worked on the day I saw it and I have no reason to think on another day it would be any worse or any better but who knows?
The virtually sold out purple cow would indicate there is a market for this type of entertainment and I would unreservedly agree.
