I have only seen Owen O’Neill in straight plays, ‘Twelve Angry Men’ and ‘One flew over theCuckoos Nest’, Geoff has seen him as either compere of a best of Irish or doing a 15 min slot. I decided it was about time to see his one man show this year called ‘Chasing my Tail’.

It contains the best excerpts from his shows over the past few years. Starting with him as a six-year-old boy living n an estate where they had outside dry toilets emptied when necessary in the Irish equivalent of a midden which occasionally had to be emptied by the council. His observational humour is both interesting and amusing, the show changes from day to day depending on his mood and Audience reaction.

Today’s culminated in his relationship with Mick Jagger!

Owen is also appearing in the odd couple, with Alan Davis and Bill Bailey, Assembly @ Assembly Hall August 5th to 29th at 15.15
