A Slice of Saturday Night – The 60’s Musical - One4Review

Since the first time I went to see “A Slice of Saturday Night” I was hooked! Reckless theatres Fringe production of this show is superb. With some of the musical numbers missing and others kept short we get this full show in one hour, which is a pity because this cast and band are excellent. The only thing I found a little strange, at first, is the use of four females and three males in the cast but it actually worked very well. This small performance area is fitting for this show and every member of the cast put in 110%. They all look perfect for the characters, all have really good singing voices and are obviously enjoying this production. I would have loved to see this cast doing the full show in this space. Claire Wacey (Sue), Colin McGregor (Gary), Sophie Michaels (Sharon), John Rogerson (Rick), Claire Whiffin (Bridget), Sarah Row (Eddie), Leon Trayman (Eric 12 to 17 August) and James Kermack (Eric 18 to 27 August). ****
