Air Swimming - One4Review

Set in a dingy bathroom this play by award winning Charlotte Jones is given an airing during Fringe 2008 by Misplaced Reflection Productions. Set in the 20’s the two, or should that be four characters are Dora  / Dorph , a ‘gel’ from a military family is joined by Persephone / Porph,  a ‘deb’ waiting to ‘come out’ and they have been incarcerated in an asylum for the criminally insane, and are waiting for someone to come for them. The unlikely paring over the years develop a strong bond and with their alter egos Dorph and Porph have licence for the acting talents of Eleanor Boyce and Georgina Carrigan  to be showcased to good effect. The simple but effective set, good direction and the interesting script all add to the ladies performance for what is a different piece of afternoon theatre. ***
