Chris Fitchew in Jack of All Trades 4 Stars **** - One4Review

Although this is his first Fringe solo show Chris Fitchew has certainly been in Edinburgh before probably best known as part of the Lick & Chew duo from a few years back.
His show is character driven, linked with good use of VT and it is so high energy I was almost exhausted just watching especially in the sweat box of the acting space.
The opening sketch set the tone as ‘Derek’ the wedding planner enlisted audience help to rehearse a forthcoming event he was styling and managed to be inclusive throughout the hour. We met Mr Colours, an Essex reality ‘star’ with a twist, we had musical mash-ups, we had parodies of Tv programmes and Hollywood stars. Fitchew has a wonderful singing voice, accomplished comedy acting ability together with a wicked sense of humour, all the ingredients required to be a quality performer.
His use of VT is not overdone and the neat way it links the segments together and gives a chance for Maxi Muscles to showcase his talents added to the experience.
I would have no hesitation to recommend this show as an excellent way to spend a Fringe afternoon hour.
