Gary Delaney 2 This Time It’s Not Personal 4 Star **** - One4Review

Until recent TV appearance Gary Delaney was somewhat a hidden gem on the comedy scene. However this has changed somewhat over the last couple of years and know people are more aware of him his profile was risen sharply. The show I saw was a sell-out and as it was early in the Fringe run it bodes well.
If you are unaware of him then where have you been? He is not a story relating comic, very much a one liner expert and I use the term intentionally. He packs in more gags than most during his set which is a series of sections punctuated with some VT usage illustrating some visual ideas he has as well.
A self-confessed guy who hasn’t grown up Delaney loves to deliver plenty of ‘off’ gags and judging by the audience reaction it was the right recipe for them. Delaney seems absolutely to be delighted to entertain, he is always smiling and this is transmitted to his crowd. Okay some gags may not be for everyone, but given his style you won’t have to wait long for a different one and that is one of the advantages. At times it is hard to keep up with the sheer numbers is probably the only issue.
I am sure that this will consistently be a ‘hot ticket’ so grab you chance while you can.
