Rory O'Hanlon: Don't Drink Don't Smoke 4 Star **** - One4Review

There are plenty of quality comics featuring on the PBH Free Fringe as always and for me Rory O’Hanlon is right up there with the best. It is quite certain that there are a lot worse at paid venues too.
Although it is well into week 3 this genial London based Irishman was playing to a near capacity crowd and with his non-stop gagging style was being extremely well received by one and all.
The don’t drink don’t smoke title of the show is basically because O’Hanlon no longer has either of these vices anymore but giving up on these things seemed to have sharpened his pencil in being able to write an hour almost exclusively revolving around them.
O’Hanlon has plenty of stage presence and good comedy timing, his set was jamb packed full of laughs and extremely accessible to everybody, okay it was a tried and tested subject but the freshness he brought to the proceeding was anything but mundane.
I first saw him a year or two ago and was impressed. Having seen this year’s production I am even more so. He is not playing a huge room and there are not too many chances to see him left. Don’t be the one to miss out.
