Tom Binns is Ian D Montfort: Psychic Fayre – 4**** - One4Review

On the way into the show, everyone gets a card to write down a secret and their questions for a psychic. These are then collected in and a few secrets revealed throughout the show.
A sceptic is found, labelled, and pulls out tarot cards to predict his less than cheery future. Simon the Sceptic takes it in good part.
Binns uses a range of techniques during the show, from star signs to his own inventions – doodleology and numerology (dice guessing to anyone else.) They all produce comedy, as well as some entertaining accuracy on a “how did he do that?” level.
Of course there are the seemingly failing around moments, where Binns sends up the vagueness of the traditional stage psychic, but these do usually end in something interesting and spot on. These and his witty one-liners keep the pace up, all in all making for a fun way to spend an hour, even if you wont find out what granny’s last whispered words were, whether your hamster is genuinely happy now, or even just how he did that.
To 25th August, 18:40.
