Rule of Three  -   Sketchual Healing - One4Review

Sketch comedy is on the surface I suppose a fairly easy option for any group to perform. I said on the surface, because in my opinion if it is done well it seems easy, but if it isn’t for me anyway it can be a long long hour. Rule of Three comprised of three performers not surprisingly Brooks Livermore, Roisin Rae and James Card certainly do know how to do their jobs. This intrepid trio power through the performance with consummate ease, delivering in excess of 20 sketches on subjects as diverse as  Australian Extreme tours, kids in back of a car, TV presenter interview, posh ‘chavs’ and send up of bosses. There are several sketches that are called back and added to, not quite running gags but bordering on them. The material is sound throughout, the show fast paces and the energy and enthusiasm that flows from the stage is almost tangible and all this in spite of the early hour in Fringe terms. What this young company really need is an upbeat audience to spark off, the show I saw were strangely subdued, however when you go to check this out and you certainly should I’m sure the show will be electric. ****
