Carey Marx – Abominable 5***** - One4Review
one4review | On 07, Aug 2014
Carey Marx is one of many comics who have decided to move from the paid, or should that be paying Fringe and is performing his 2014 show as part of the PBH Free Fringe. Free it may be to get in but as always with Marx the quality is top class.
Carey tends go with darker material than a lot of his peers and is a lover of the off joking style, however with his mischievous smile it defuses the situation more often than not. He can talk at length a visit to a Snoop Dog gig at a festival, his wife’s hamster, man hugs, and his new cat not forgetting his alternative thoughts on ‘little people.’
As always Marx is an imposing figure on stage and his style does not involve picking on the crowd. His strength is as always the strength and diversity of his well-written material and the delivery of this stuff as only he can. Certainly you should go and see for yourself.
Free to get in it maybe but a collection on the way out is requested. Given his tickets were upwards of £12-00 last year surly a folding contribution is in order.
