Sarah Kendall – Touchdown 5***** - One4Review

Sarah Kendall – Touchdown 5*****

| On 11, Aug 2014

Whenever Sarah Kendall is performing at the Fringe I always make certain that it is a show I catch, because one can always be certain that this Australian comic will always deliver the goods.

Ms Kendall is not a jokey comic, more a raconteur, but the stories are always punctuated with well written and performed as only she can. This year’s tale tells the story of one of 2012 stories, this time as it really happened and with no comedic licence.

The episode she shares with everyone this year is one from her early teens where friendships, first love and graffiti feature heavily in the narrative and the outcome is not necessarily the way she wanted.

Sarah is a wordsmith of great ability, she verbally paints the characters and situations in such a way that the pictures are almost tangible, plenty of light and shade in her delivery and holds the busy house for the full hour with ease.

The performance was top quality and I although I have seen her many times before I feel it is her best to date.
