Katia Kvinge: 140 Karakters 3*** - One4Review
one4review | On 21, Aug 2015
It seems that Katia Kvinge likes a challenge. When her original venue had issues she like a number of others were relocated to a replacement space at a different time.
And then there is the show. Borrowing the idea from Twitter she attempts to pack in 140 characters into her hour show and, with some shall we say creative accountancy, achieves her goal.
The mad cap hour of extremely high energy material is driven at an alarming pace which made me feel exhausted, but this half Norwegian half American Scottish accented lady not only survives but makes a serious attempt to achieve the show title. Occasionally the quantity did somewhat outweigh the quality, but it gave an insight to what she has in her repertoire and it is impressive.
It is certainly a different take on a one woman character sketch show and Ms Kvinge has oodles of charisma and stage presence together with some clever writing. I look forward to seeing her next show, hopefully giving herself slightly less of a numbers challenge, giving her a chance to flesh out her creations and impressions.
