Christian O’Connell is the Breakfast Show host for 17 years on Absolute Radio and also has a nice side-line as a stand-up comedian as well. Judging by his previous shows and especially this 2015 offering he should never be short of work.

Being a guy who talks for a living he has excellent delivery and his well-honed set is peppered with laughs in his all too short hour.

His material is wide ranging in subject matter containing stop-off points such as his dog, family, the deejay’s early career, Jimmy Saville, social media, reviews on the likes of Amazon and Tripadvisor and vox pops from unlikely place with unlikely people. He even had a chart run down with his own top ten!

But the main theme is based on real situations and complaints either he or his radio station has received and a selection of these are read out, some going all the way to the regularity body Ofcom. I was left both astounded and just had to laugh as to the lengths that some people go it.

There is no doubt in my mind that O’Connell will definitely not ruin your early evening.
