Okay let’s get the title explained from the off. The surname is pronounced ‘Boojaya’ and has it’s origins in Malta. He opens with this but the show is really about decision making and a love story intertwined throughout his hour.
Bugeja muses on how decisions are either made with the head or the heart and he has done a lot of research and musing about this, whether it is betting on a horse, Netflix or Amazon Prime or relationships.
The love story part is about a girl he met at Fringe 2015 and deciding whether to have a long distance relationship, in this case a very long distance, or to walk away having enjoyed their August together, of course the decision making process is to the fore once again.
Steve is a very personable comedian, and there is no histrionics from his stage, he writes and performs a well-rounded and very funny hour of entertainment and his near capacity crowd were obviously engaged with the story from the beginning.
So what wins? Is it his head or his heart? To find out get along and see for yourselves. This anyway is an easy decision to make.
