All That Malarkey – 4 ****

| On 14, Aug 2017

It’s well worth checking out the malarkey that’s going on at Venue 13, a venue tucked away down Lochend Close near the bottom of the Royal Mile.
David Harrington, musical director and pianist, provides wit and humour as he takes us through this unique brand of operatic cabaret. The Four classically trained vocal group: Amy Fuller, Fran Gregory, Lei Roberts and Roy Harrad, soon get the evening started with an operatic twist on “Lets Get This Party Started”
The evening continues as their wonderful operatic vocals take on a wide range of musical genres from 90”s pop, RnB, jazz and disco. Over and above music, they also provide a hilarious enactment of the lyrics from Son of a Preacher Man and Noel Cowards, Mad About The Boy. The classical musical mash up of the 90’s is an excellent finale to the show.
This malarkey is professionally delivered by an extremely talented group of classically trained singers. They provided an enjoyable evening to a very appreciative audience.
