Kid/Dub is the children’s version of the highly successful Hot Dub Time Machine. This version has the same features as the original – DJ, music ranging from the 1950s to present day, large screen, props. The only difference with Kid/Dub is that it’s on at 11.45am. Oh, and it’s jam packed with jumping, twirling, laughing children.
We are initially greeted by the fun and lively DJ, and within seconds of starting everyone is up and dancing. Kid/Dub is advertised for children aged 3-10 but even little toddlers were getting in on the action, picking up handfuls of glitter confetti and dancing to everything from the Beatles to 2 Unlimited.
It makes a lovely change to just dance and be silly with your little one after sitting down watching shows. My daughter loved it and it was great watching her lose herself on the dancefloor.
If you have a day full of shows planned, I thoroughly recommend slotting this into your diary. Be prepared to dance for an hour and emerge into Teviot Square sweaty, but satisfied.
