Lucy Porter: Choose your Battles 4**** - One4Review

Lucy Porter: Choose your Battles 4****

| On 10, Aug 2017

Lucy Porter has been appearing at the Fringe for well over a decade and you know you are in safe hands with her, the majority of the audience return year after year to see this popular comedian as she never disappoints.

Her show is based around her aversion to conflict with many examples of how she has managed to avoid major bust ups but is often left seething inside. Lucy is a fantastic storyteller with a very likeable, bubbly persona and easily builds rapport with the audience. Most of her anecdotes centre around her husband, parents and children and her own absentmindedness so it is very easy to empathise and relate to her experiences.

It has been an emotional time for Lucy lately, however she still manages to find humour from most situations. As she has become aware of her dislike of arguing and analysing the reasons for this trait, she has decided that some causes are worth defending and her stage set is testament to which side she has chosen in a recent twitter debate.

This is an enjoyable hour of comedy with lots of laughs and a few poignant moments.
