Think Romeo and Juliet, but instead of Capulets you have Smeds and Montagues are Smoos. Also one is red and the other blue. And they’re aliens. Also, it’s for kids. Finally, it’s fantastic!

Meet Janet and Bill, our star-crossed lovers who meet as children in the Wurpular Wood and become life-long friends, all at the lament of their grandparents who insist the two must never mix and their lifestyle choices are different and therefore wrong. As the story develops through catchy songs and incredible puppetry our grandparents are thrown together on a hunt from planet to planet and learn along the way that being different isn’t a bad thing and love conquers all. You will have a very warm and fuzzy feeling throughout.

The talent shown throughout is magnificent, from small looks to full song and dance numbers, the actors never miss a beat or line making this feel so well crafted.

Production values are clearly high in this showcase of talent. The set design, puppetry, props, costumes, choreography, and performances are all spot-on in this tour-de-force family show that gives you everything you want from a Julia Donaldson story on stage.
