Roscoe McClelland :-4**** - One4Review

Roscoe McClelland :-4****

| On 20, Aug 2018

The Fringe is taking its toll on everyone this year it seems and as Roscoe McClelland hobbles onto the stage with a crutch, not explained, and barely a voice, it seems to be hitting him rather hard.
But this doesn’t deter him, far from it he is straight into the warm-up with his crowd work which gets everyone ready for the substance of his set.
McClelland is getting older he says, but thinks he is still cool, He may be 29, engaged and getting married soon , but he doesn’t think he is ready for the prize he won, something he entered for on a whim, but is he.
Roscoe is a very popular club comic in Scotland and has natural ability as a storyteller and the miner of laughs from non-ground-breaking material. The main topic is of the occasionally turbulent relationship with his fiancée has a multitude of laughs as he leads us through their meeting, fallouts, a Facebook photo that nearly ended it and near success on a reality TV show, but gigging stories, a new ‘friend’ with whom he had post-gig chats and the prop he discovered in a hostel all had equal merit and were well written and delivered.
Roscoe McClelland is definitely a comic to watch and when better to start than now.
