Quick-talking Gola tells us that he is a stand up with no particular message, though by the end, there is something of a theme sneaking in. What he definitely is, however, is a comic who fires numerous different topics at us at high speed. His pace is relentless, and his targets for humour are varied.

Race, travel, politics, weather, sexuality, wildlife, and poor grammar all get covered in this whistle-stop tour of things in popular culture or day to day life across three very different areas (Edinburgh, New York, South Africa).

It was an enjoyable show with lots of funny lines. Perhaps being advertised as two-time Emmy-nominated meant that I expected a little too much. It was a good show – I was hoping for a great one.
