Chloe Radcliffe: Proud Racoon 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 10, Aug 2024
Chloe Radcliffe is an American comedian and writer, now based in New York.
In Proud Raccoon she opens the show by telling us she now feels a bit more pessimistic than she used to and checks if the audience are glass half full or half empty kind of people. Chloe is extremely personable and is very relaxed and confident in her delivery and when chatting with audience members.
She asks for opinions on how she looks and goes on to discuss her birthmark with some very amusing anecdotes of how people react to it, with many feeling the need to draw her attention to something on her face with numerous varied suggestions of what it might be. Chloe then goes on to discuss her love life past and present, she talks about having a type, the Greggs, and their shortcomings. Pregnancy scares, buying sex toys that double up as weapons, why she would like to be attracted to women, the difficulties of removing bodysuits in amorous situations and why we still use candles.
It is obvious Chloe is a natural performer and loves making people laugh. At times the crowd weren’t vocal enough for her but everyone was having a good time and having a chuckle. It was an hour that flew by. Despite thinking she was a bit pessimistic at the start of the show, she has actually realised she has become more optimistic again, now being in a healthy, equal relationship with someone not called Gregg.
Proud Raccoon is only on until 13th August so get your tickets quick or you’ll miss this sublime comedy show.
