Rhys Nicholson – Nice People Nice Things Nice Situations 4**** - One4Review

Nobody could ever accuse Rhys Nicholson of being a shy, retiring chap. From his red hair and patterned suit he sweeps into his space with the flair and aplomb that seems to come naturally to this highly entertaining and extremely funny Australian comedian, and he is off. Off on a million miles an hour extravaganza that has one and all laughing and smiling throughout.
Nicholson claims he is getting old. He is 29, what does that make a large percentage of his followers, and in the light of this, looks back over the last 10 years, high school, thinks he is losing his teeth, booze and substance fueled parties, storage units for two much stuff, the somewhat strange, to him anyway, contents of a tin in his mother’s unit, much sources of fun for his eloquent guy.
Things that have happened recently, he is engaged, will be getting married eventually, has acquired a dog, or fur ball as he calls it, and even the possibility of becoming a dad, who’d have thought.
Nicholson has stage presence in spades, his lovely, slightly bitchy, material is achingly funny, and he is what he is. No one in the show I saw left anything but happy., which definitely is the same feeling after previous years gigs as well.
Already extra shows are being planned such is the demand for his tickets, give yourself a treat and check it out for yourselves.
