The Song of Fergus and Kate – 4**** - One4Review

The Song of Fergus and Kate – 4****

| On 16, Aug 2022

This is probably one of the sweetest shows at the fringe and takes us on a lovely journey of animation, interactive play, songs, and bubbles.

Jay introduces herself as the narrator of today’s story and she wants us to have as much fun as we can. One-part baby sensory with, bubbles, silks, and shakers, a one-part story that encourages the acceptance of difference. Older children get to engage with shell hunting and spelling their names in the sand. Jay is a clear entertainer and extremely engaging with the children throughout. She uses funny faces, jokes, and songs to make sure everyone has fun throughout.

This is a fantastic story, accompanied by illustration, animation, music and cut-outs is an hour of joy for the family. Although at times the music was possibly a bit too loud, forcing Jay to shout over it, and although some moments of subtle chaos, you leave with a smile on your face and everyone happy about the experience.
